Canada needs to get tough on child porn crimes

Canada’s Bill C-54 toughing up minimum sentences for pedophiles convicted of possessing child porn from 14 days to 90 days is a complete disgrace to most Canadians.

Canadians demand tough punishment and expect much more from the federal Tories.

The Harper government has failed our nation, parents and every child who could be victimized more than this weak attempt at legal intervention.

Many have accused Canada of not caring when as a nation we have tougher legislation for abusing animals than we do for abusing children.

Let us know what you think.

Amazon continues to sell other pedophilia books

Amazon.com has removed the pedophilia book on their website reported by Anderson Cooper on CNN last evening but other books by the same author remained on the site until public presssure forced the company to finally remove them. Even more disturbing is the fact that other pedophilia books still are being sold by the company.

According to Anderson Cooper, CNN not only left countless messages to the company but they sent a reporter to their headquarters who waited approximately 2 hours without being granted an interview.

This evening Amazon finally contacted CNN but the representative had very little to say regarding their refusal to remove books.

What will make Amazon finally realize their mistake. Money …….that is why many are recommending a complete and permanent boycott of Amazon.com. Some suggest if their stock hit the floor that it will send a clear message to all publishers that such disgusting material will not be tolerated.

Lets be clear, the books in question talk clearly about sex with children. In our country and most that is rape and rape is a crime.

Do you think this company should be permanently out of business, boycotted temporarily, permanent or whatever.

We want to hear from you.

Amazon.com finally removes pedophilia book

The action of Amazon.com defending a book on pedophilia has sparked a boycott by people outraged that such a item could be allowed to be sold. There are some actions and situations that honestly defy logic, decency and common sense. This news item was sent to us from a concerned parent after she saw it covered on CNN last evening.

In today’s world where we know the devastating results from pedophilia and human trafficking, it is beyond words to understand why anyone would produce such a horrific book but then for it to be allowed to be sold on a major site is……(can’t even use the words here).

Freedom of speech is the excuse originally used to defend the actions of Amazon.com for allowing it or maybe that was just the excuse given by a group of sick sick human beings.

We have no idea how such a disgusting piece of filth would get on the site but for it to be showcased by CNN who noted they had no comment at the time from Amazon.com is unbelievable.

People banned together forming Facebook groups, sending this out to publications like ours and generally rallied together to show their strength demanding something be done.

Now for all you individuals who say social media and the Internet is a horrible development be aware that communicating at the speed of light right now (not waiting for the hard copy print to hit your table) be aware that technology can make a difference. Once again it has proven that people will use it to rally together and force change.

We now want to know…what is Amazon.com and other sites like this going to do to ensure that such filth is not sold again on their sites. In addition, charges should be laid. Is there not laws regarding hate literature? If this is not considered hate literature I have no idea what will fall in this category.

Society demands action. I personally will be boycotting Amazon.com until I know what improved policy and procedures are put in place to ensure this NEVER happens again.

Update: I watched the video link on CNN and with the statement Amazon.com made defending their actions to sell this…I firmly state I will never use the site again.

Let us know what you think.
