Bullying Website Geared At Helping Victims

With the issue of bullying increasing and the topic being at the forefront of academic and social institutions, more and more articles, publications and websites are cropping up. As parents we all know that the affect that bulling can have on children and young adults can be devastating. Cyberbullying is a new issue but one the schools have to deal with on a daily basis.

With the awareness increasing as to the need to stop bullying in its tracks, we will do our best to provide information as we get it. In that in mind we introduce the following websites developed in Canada by a parent and teacher who sent us this information in response to one of our bullying articles.

A Canadian teacher and parent named Bill Belsey is President of a website developed to address issues with bullying. President of Bullying.org, this organization wanted to share some educational resources that might be helpful to parents, educators and students in their efforts to better address bullying.

Regardless of where you live, bullying and its affects are the same and this website and its resources may be very helpful.

Why Canada Can’t Stop Bullies

Canada can’t stop bullies. In fact, we rank 36th out of 40th for abuse in schoolyards.

Some would blame it on a culture where violence is glorified while some say it is lack of real policy and monitoring success of any such policy. Either excuse, shame on Canada.

Children everyday are being bullied in schoolyards without much being done at the school and board levels. Read more
