Amazon.com finally removes pedophilia book

The action of Amazon.com defending a book on pedophilia has sparked a boycott by people outraged that such a item could be allowed to be sold. There are some actions and situations that honestly defy logic, decency and common sense. This news item was sent to us from a concerned parent after she saw it covered on CNN last evening.

In today’s world where we know the devastating results from pedophilia and human trafficking, it is beyond words to understand why anyone would produce such a horrific book but then for it to be allowed to be sold on a major site is……(can’t even use the words here).

Freedom of speech is the excuse originally used to defend the actions of Amazon.com for allowing it or maybe that was just the excuse given by a group of sick sick human beings.

We have no idea how such a disgusting piece of filth would get on the site but for it to be showcased by CNN who noted they had no comment at the time from Amazon.com is unbelievable.

People banned together forming Facebook groups, sending this out to publications like ours and generally rallied together to show their strength demanding something be done.

Now for all you individuals who say social media and the Internet is a horrible development be aware that communicating at the speed of light right now (not waiting for the hard copy print to hit your table) be aware that technology can make a difference. Once again it has proven that people will use it to rally together and force change.

We now want to know…what is Amazon.com and other sites like this going to do to ensure that such filth is not sold again on their sites. In addition, charges should be laid. Is there not laws regarding hate literature? If this is not considered hate literature I have no idea what will fall in this category.

Society demands action. I personally will be boycotting Amazon.com until I know what improved policy and procedures are put in place to ensure this NEVER happens again.

Update: I watched the video link on CNN and with the statement Amazon.com made defending their actions to sell this…I firmly state I will never use the site again.

Let us know what you think.
