Following your dreams

When we are young and starting out in the world, we have lots of dreams and aspirations. We feel like we can have it all, and the world is at our feet. Except life doesn’t always go according to plan.

Responsibilities get in the way, and we end up forgetting or pushing what we want aside for another day. And then another week … maybe next year? Until we can barely remember why we wanted it in the first place. We don’t have to forget our dreams though. You can still live them. Whether that dream is small, like a win on
FoxyBingo or big, like visiting all of the wonders of the world, take charge of your life and make them happen.

Be true – First of all you need to figure out what you want again. We never truly change from the person we were when we dreamed big. Be true to yourself and make room in your life to do what you want, rather than just what you should be doing.

Visualize – Use your imagination to properly see your dreams as tangible and achievable. They are only unobtainable if you believe them to be so.

Long term plan – Dreams don’t happen overnight. You have to work at them over a steady period of time. Which is why you need to have a plan. Spontaneity is great, but isn’t always feasible when you have so many other responsibilities. Find ways to work around real life to pursue you dream.

Fear – Don’t be afraid of where your dream could lead you. We all face doubts and rational fears, when we really want something, but ultimately, the boogie monster you’re imagining in your closet, isn’t actually there. Our dreams lure us towards challenges. Take them on, and conquer the fears that hold you back.
